1. Customise Theme

Tired of looking at the same conventional Outlook theme colour and want to make it livelier? Try changing the theme by picking your favourite design of choice! Outlook offers a large selection of themes and they are impressive. The theme you select will automatically appear on your screen.

2. Dark Mode

If you find that the background colour is too bright for you or you prefer it to be black, switch it to ‘dark mode’. Your background will then be black and it will be easier on your eyes.

3. Outlook Board View

This gives you a view of your own personal organiser board. By default, four items will appear on your screen – Calendar, Tasks, Note and Tips. You can move them around and position them as you like on the screen. You can resize, remove the items and add other items to your board.

4. Schedule Emails to Send

Set a time and date to send your email so that you are on time. You may want to ensure the clock and date settings on your laptop/ desktop are set in accordance with the time zone prior to scheduling your email to avoid any error.

5. Enable Teams Default Meeting

By enabling Teams default meeting, your meeting invitation will automatically be conducted via Teams. Simply click the ‘Join’ button to participate in the meeting.

6. Bold Calendar Meetings

If you are finding the event colour too light and boring, you can bold it to look more vibrant!

7. Find Calendar Meeting Time

Once you have selected your attendee, the available time and date appear to match both of your schedules. This makes it convenient for you to schedule the meeting without checking for availability back and forth.

8. Customise Outlook Web Toolbar

You can make your most-used actions appear in your Outlook. Add or remove any quick action buttons from the toolbar. This setting will help you to be more efficient and stay organised!
