On 23rd December 2022, YTL Communications bagged the highest number of awards with a total of four at the MCMC Star Rating Award event – an event by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission that honours the telecommunications, broadcasting and postal, as well as courier industries. The four awards are: ‘Best Quality of Service,’ ‘Best in Consumer Satisfaction,’ ‘Best in Corporate Social Responsibility,’ and ‘Best Mobile Network Operator with Less Than 5 million subscribers.’ 

 

After the success of leading the country with its ‘First to 5G’ and ‘5G for All’, winning the four awards was the cherry on top for YTL Communications’ achievement for the year. The recognition of YTL Communications’ achievement is a testament of its commitment to contribute to society by providing a high level of compliance to regulatory requirements and class-leading customer experience. This award was subject to thorough assessment by MCMC’s subject matter experts and independent consultants. 

 

The CEO of YTL Communications, Wing K. Lee stated, “These recognitions are noteworthy as 2021 was a year where all telco networks in Malaysia were taxed to the maximum as a result of the COVID lockdown.  Beyond providing quality service to our customers, through YTL Foundation’s Learn from Home Initiative, we provided 1.5 million free 4G SIM cards and 1 million free 4G smartphones that in aggregate consumed 200 million GB of 4G data. For YTL Communications to be recognized as best-in-class in terms of network service quality and customer service excellence speaks volumes to the robustness of our modern all-4G network and the unwavering commitment of our entire team to serve our customers. And it is on the back of this advanced all-4G network architecture that enables us to be the first to launch 5G to accelerate the country toward a 5G nation.”
