To catch you up, as many of you would remember, we recently rallied everyone from across the YTL Group to vote for the Learn From Home initiative for an international award and spread the word to family and friends.  

Over the past 2 years, the Learn From Home initiative, in collaboration with FrogAsia, YTL Communications, Teach For Malaysia, MyReaders, Pelangi, Kindity and CIMB Foundation, has built free online lessons for the entire Malaysian school curriculum. Through the initiative, 800,000 smartphones and SIM cards, 1,400 online lessons and 13,500 quizzes that are available at https://www.ytlfoundation.org/learnfromhome/

 have been distributed.
 

Before we make the official announcement on how we fared, let us first do some build up with some facts and figures: 

  • Organiser: AVPN, the #1 newsletter on social investment in Asia 
  • 2022 is their third installment of the Constellations Awards, a celebration of the remarkable ways in which social investors across Asia collaborate to address the complex challenges of our times 
  • Learn From Home Initiative (LFH) was selected as one of 12 finalists for the People’s Choice Award category, alongside notable names such as the IKEA Foundation, Dream a Dream, USAID and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
