If you have been actively participating in Signature Market’s Malaysia Corporate Team Marathon, kudos on your unwavering commitment and for getting us to where we are right now!  

 

Here is where we stand on the leaderboard:

As we approach the halfway point of the marathon challenge, let’s have a quick recap on how our company has been doing for the past 2 weeks. On the first week of the virtual run, we were off to a great start as we dominated the Top 2 and 3 positions of 571 participating companies on the leaderboard.  

 

However, in the second week, we dropped to the 4th position behind other government agencies and although it may look like we have a big lead over 5th positioned Malaysian Aviation Group, anything can happen! So, let’s do our best in strengthening our step count strategies and keep the momentum moving forward.  

 

With 537 sessions recorded at the time the data was extracted, our team has actually accomplished an impressive 134.25 marathons collectively! To those unfamiliar, a session equates to 12,500 steps per participant. Each participant is allowed to record a session a day and by completing 4 sessions, the distance is equivalent to a full-fledged 42km marathon.  

 

As a reminder, the competition is still ongoing and there is plenty of time left to improve your step count and sessions to help our team climb up the leaderboard. If you haven’t started recording 12.5k steps a day, let’s START TODAY! 

 

  • Dedicate extra time during your lunch hour to walking. Take a brisk walk around the block as a means to clear your mind and get some extra steps in. 
  • Park farther away from the entrance of a building or parking lot. This will force you to walk a bit more, and those extra steps can really add up over time. 
  • Need to use the loo? Find a restroom that requires you to walk a little bit more than you usually do for your restroom breaks.  
  • Take an evening stroll after your dinner. Instead of plopping down on the couch after your meal, take a leisurely walk around the neighborhood. It’s a great way to unwind from the stresses of the day and you will be able to digest your food much easier before your bedtime.  

 

We hope these tips inspire you to get your daily steps in and record a minimum of 7 sessions*. If we collectively encourage one another and put our minds to it, YTL will definitely have its name at the very top of that leaderboard. Let’s show them what YTL is made of – we are Team Yang Tahan Lasak! 🏃‍♂️

 

P.S. For the winners, some limited-edition cool swag awaits you! However, if you are one of the losers, beware. The Directors and the Committee are still discussing on what you will need to do but a little bird told us that making a TikTok video for the company has been thrown in as an idea. All of this and more will be revealed in time… 😉
