Candra Menan
Candra demonstrates hard work, dedication, and full commitment to the tasks assigned to him. His credibility is shown through managing the Klang Valley QAQC Team. Highly innovative, he introduced the use of drones to perform façade inspections for high-rise buildings, eliminating safety risks all at once. Candra is also on the committee board of the ERP team to streamline the QAQC Department processes by utilising digital products and applications. Candra was nominated by his HOD, Ho Khee Heng. Candra is a true example of someone who embodies all three pillars – Technology, Talent, and Innovation of our Transformation 2.0 Journey.
Dubbed a ‘Professor’ by Yuan, Kian He loves sharing his knowledge and everything he learns with those around him. He is never shy to answer questions. Currently, he is working hard on the Kwasa bid and even spends his time working on weekends. Kian He was nominated by Tsen.

Chang Mun Peng
MP Chang is an all-rounder leader in leading his team. We asked his nominator as well as his team member, Firdauz how MP Chang is as a leader, and what is striking is the sense of individualisation in getting his team members to work effectively. He customises an approach for each person by valuing the different skill sets and personalities of his team members. Truly exemplify that one size doesn’t fit all by recognising how each individual is unique with their strengths and best motivated to bring out the best in them to work effectively. MP Chang always supports his team to grow to their
full potential and go above and beyond. MP Chang made immense contributions to the Gemas-JB Double Track project. He assisted to resolve many challenging site issues with his design throughout the construction stage from Section 1 to Section 5. Besides being an expert in steel structure design, he even customised design to suit the site condition, mainly in the temporary works for infra and station.
His commitment to work and his team are not questionable. After work hours, he attends and reviews site meetings as well as gives feedback on queries. Even so, he drove from his office in Section 3 to Section 2 to assist in resolving issues.
With the adaptation of BIM in his work scope, MP Chang embraces technology positively. He put a lot of effort and time into learning BIM and teaching others. He also sets it as a KPI for his team to do the same.
As for Innovation, he is always innovative to look for ways to suit the needs of project submissions from every angle.
We asked Fairuz how others would remember MP Chang. In his own words:
“If he contacts you, you will know something is wrong and you need to prepare every data and update before answering him, because he will ask you very detailed questions and you need to be very detailed to him, so you need to have everything inside your head”.
Fairuz informs that although MP Chang may be firm, he does it with the intention to educate the individual. He also gives comments in positively to encourage his team to do better.
MP Chang is retiring and we can’t thank him enough for his contributions. We will miss him and we wish him all the best!
