1. What is your job title?
I am a Site Safety Supervisor under the Gemas-Johor Bahru Electrified Double Track Project.

2. How long have you been working for YTL Construction?
I  have been with YTL Construction for four years now.

3. What sort of duties do you have at work? 
Since I am based in Kluang main office, my main duties are to coordinate with the Section’s HSE Team and to liaise with various departments regarding Health, Safety and Environmental matters. Sometimes, I tag along for site inspections or audits to ensure the worksites adhere to the safety and health regulations and company’s requirements.

4. What’s your favourite comfort media (book, show, movie, music, or anything else) and why?
Video games. Gaming not only helps me to wind down, it also improves my hand-eye coordination and multitasking skill.   

5. What is one professional skill you have nailed? 
I would say my interpersonal skills since I am required to interact with various levels and departments in the organisation. 

6. Are you a dog person or a cat person (or neither)? 
Undoubtedly a dog person!

7. What’s a work-related accomplishment that you’re really proud of? 
That would be obtaining my Green Book from the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH). I would like to thank my colleagues for lending me their assistance in this endeavour.  

8. If you could pick up a new skill in an instant, what would it be? 
Language acquisition as conversing with others in their mother tongue would be so cool!

9. What’s one item you can’t leave home without? 
My spectacles. 

10.What was the first thing you bought with your own money?
My Instax Mini 7s. I recalled having to work part time to save up for it.
