YTL Construction takes pride in contributing to the communities around where we operate. This is because we believe in giving back to the places in which we live, work and raise our families. Santun Komuniti YTL is a recent campaign which we launched with the aim of establishing and creating strong relationships with the local community. Relationships which are based on mutual recognition and respect, trust and ultimately, the goal of improving the quality of life.

Santun Komuniti YTL focuses on our initiatives which are related to:

  1. Education
  2. Community Engagement
  3. Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR)

World Chocolate Day Celebration

On the 7th of July 2022, in conjunction with World Chocolate Day, the Stakeholder department organised a visit to Trinity Community Children’s Home Society in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. There were close to 30 children who participated in this celebration. During the session, children were taught about the origins of chocolate and regaled with fun facts, participating in a crossword puzzle activity thereafter. The children also learned the significance of the celebration and were gifted a party packet filled with chocolates to commemorate the occasion.

If you know any orphanages and/or old folk centres that might be interested in similar programmes, please contact Nina Jamil at [email protected] to nominate the centres!

Let’s reach out and put a smile on the less fortunate.

GJBEDTP School Safety  Engagement

In the month of July 2022, YTL Construction organised three school safety engagements with around 550 primary school students around the districts of Segamat and Kluang. The schools involved were SK Canossian Convent, Kluang, SRJK (C) Bukit Siput, Segamat and SJK (C) Li Chi, Segamat.

These engagements are part of our efforts to promote the importance of health and safety near the GJBEDTP construction site, especially amongst school children in Johor who are schooling near the alignment area.

In these sessions, our health and safety officer from Section 3, Ms. Lee Yi Tania, reminded students of the importance of maintaining and prioritising their health and safety, and also explained the meaning of common road signs displayed near the GJBEDTP construction sites. They also emphasised how important it was for the school children to adhere to the instructions of the road signs at all times. We then ran a quick pop quiz at the end of each session to test the students’ understanding of the session and were delighted to see how excited and engaged these students were!
