Secure all your data with Multi-Factor Authentication!

YTL Construction Cybersecurity Initiative

As part of enhancing YTL Construction’s cybersecurity initiative, all Microsoft 365 accounts will be activated with multi-factor authentication. This will impact the way you log in effective Tuesday, 1st March 2022. That means you will require additional levels of authentication when you sign in to your Office 365.

What is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?

MFA — also known as two-step verification — adds a layer of protection to the sign-in process. It is an authentication method that requires the user to provide two or more identification methods to gain access to their account.

Why Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?

For more security – to help protect your work account and the company against breaches due to lost or stolen credentials with strong authentication. MFA makes it harder for attackers to log in as if they were you. We want to be resistant to cybersecurity threats. It’s more secure than passwords.

Cybersecurity threats

Security is important for our credibility as an organisation. Malware and phishing (fraudulent messages designed to trick a human victim into revealing sensitive information) emails are modern security threats. Therefore, it is important to implement multi-factor authentication to improve the security of our data.

Enforcement for the entire company

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will be enforced for the entire company on Tuesday, 1st March 2022.
