1. Use Public Transportation

Driving a private car on the road emits more greenhouse gas than commuting on public transport. That’s why hopping onto the MRT or a bus is an easy way for us to go green.

2. Buy Local

Minimise your shopping trip’s carbon footprint by shopping at local stores. Not only does this support local businesses, it also reduces the environmental impact as travel time by car is reduced.

3. Go Meatless

Meat production contributes to carbon gas emissions. Going vegan will help save the planet but if it’s too daunting, why not start small by eating plant-based meals once a week?

4. Load It Up Go Native with your Plants

Plant native plants and trees such as Hibiscus and Meranti to attract wildlife. They’re also more resilient and able to withstand diseases and pests.

5. Educate and Encourage

Encourage your friends and family to go green. It can be as simple as starting a conversation with them about climate change to raise awareness of the climate crisis. Or encourage them to join you in promising to cut down on disposables this year.
