6. Mason Jars as A Receipt Jar

Rather than having to rummage through your drawer to find that ONE receipt from team lunch to calculate how much your colleagues owe you, add some aesthetics and organisation to your finance records by storing all your receipts in a jar.

7. Wall Storage Space

If you sit near a wall or tall cubicle, don’t let that space go to waste! Use it to free up precious real estate on your desk by storing mail, office supplies, or electronics on the wall. Some potential solutions: wire grid, pinboard, pegboard. These ideas look cool while keeping your office supplies right at your fingertips.

8. Stress Relief Kit

If you haven’t heard of emergency chocolate before, you have now. What should you put in a stress relief kit? Here some of our recommendations:

  • Several of your favourite types of chocolates or sweets
To raise your blood sugar level.
  • A sachet of your favourite tea or coffee
This small act can do wonders to reenergise your mind & body: taking time to make yourself a hot beverage, and slowly savouring it as it goes down your throat and makes you feel all warm inside.
  • Stress ball
Have you ever felt so upset that you just really want to break something? Although a stress ball isn’t the perfect solution, it could help to relieve a little bit of that stress.
  • Essential oil
Never underestimate the power that scent can have on your entire being.
  • Face mask
This might not be a common sight in the office, but you could make this something you look forward to at the end of the work day. (At home. Wearing a face mask at night might be a scary sight for your unexpecting colleagues.) A suggested quick fix for during the work day: washing your face with cold water might have a similarly refreshing effect.

9. Need More Storage Space?

This will be very helpful for those of you who find that your desk is too small for your mental health essentials like succulents, or your elbow keeps wanting to meet your standing stationery holder. You’ll need to be up for a bit more DIY. For details instructions, check out brit+co.

10. Old Book Covers as Mail Organisers

This super sweet idea comes from Beyond the Picket Fence. A few old hardcover books, some paint, and decorative fabric are all it takes to create a mail solution that looks amazing and keeps you sane.
